He has more than two decades of marketing and operational experience that span a variety of industries and companies. Jason brings a deep understanding of how the tools of marketing, branding and technology can inspire change, solve problems and create lasting impact.
Prior to joining Nyhus, Jason spent three years as vice president of marketing for SportsArt, a “green” company that pioneered energy-producing, sustainable fitness equipment. There he oversaw the global branding, digital strategy and creative direction of the company. Prior to SportsArt, Jason spent four years as senior vice president of marketing at Strategies 360, a communications and public relations firm, leading the company’s business development, marketing and creative strategy – both internally and for clients. Prior to that role, Jason spent more than five years at Microsoft in numerous roles leading business development, media buying, social media and community building. His work spanned multiple business units, including Microsoft Advertising and Office for Mac.
Jason received his master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix, and bachelor’s degree in communications from Illinois State University. He was awarded the Microsoft Gold Star award two years in a row and was named number 30 on Forbes’ 2012 list of Social Media Power Influencers.
Jason is originally from Chicago. He is a die-hard Cubs fan, published author and frequent blogger. He resides in Monroe, Wash., with his two boys, Jacob and Justin, and his wife, Molly.
